left at the busstop

situation: bus ride from iraklion, the capital of crete, to the other side of the island, chania...after an over nighter ferry from athens that arrived at 6:30AM...stoppoint midway, 5 minutes to pee otherwise they'll leave you. well they weren't joking because as I (Leslie) ran out of the bathroom the bus was gone!! i'm running down the street and the booth worker calls me back, Don't you go anywhere! so they tell me i can get on the next bus in an hour. and she mentions, don't worry we'll tell your husband to wait with your baggage at the last stop....hm how does she know i have a husband....well in the meantime, pink is telling the bus driver to stop, wait for my wife, stop the bus, stop the bus. and he wouldn't!! so there is a bit of a ruckus going on in the bus and our english friends leo and will are backing him up. apparently they call the booth and say hey we've got crazy husband here make sure the wife is OK...but pink is still fighting for his right to be with his wife...well they finally drop pink off so he has to hitchhike back to the busstop with a man who only speaks greek, only to arrive where i am casually drinking my cappucino admiring the mediterranean, thinking, what else can i do, right? and my wonderful husband comes running out of the station shaking and telling me this whole story. credit and major points go to the husband who would not stand to leave his wife at the busstation. thanks babe:) this is from a WHEW moment..
