Lost Camera

Well, somewhere on our journey from Florence, Italy, to Rome, Italy; the camera was misplaced. This is the worst thing that has happened to us on this trip which I can say is better than many other things. Needless to say, the pictures from our travels to Ittersbach, Germany where my grandfather was raised were lost. We stayed with my cousin Ralf Winckler and his girlfriend Isa and daughter Lara, who were so sweet and hosted us for the weekend and showed us all around...It was snowing so much the whole town of Ittersbach and Black Forest were covered in snow in a white winterland!! We visited with several other relatives of Leslie's and had the best time and experienced the warmest hospitality we have known on this trip...We shortly visited Stuttgart where my grandmother was raised before we continued our journey...Then we were onto Milano, then Florence to see all the wonderful art and architecture, the Uffizi museum, the Duomo, and the many beautiful churches. Rome, Italy was wonderful and crazy with so many ruins, the colleseum, the piazzas, the Vatican and vatican museums,the great pasta, the Bernini Fountains, Da Vinci and Carvaggio's, Roman Ruins. We then flew to Athens, Greece which we will be able to show you in the next blog!!
