On the road up the coast
Obidos, population 600, a small town enclosed by a huge wall that we walked all around. People actually still live here. The wall structure was originally constructed in 1100 by the queen. it's what you would picture in your head of old european living with constructed aquaducts, one church, everything in stone, quite a treat to walk around the entire village on the wall.
Tile fresco on the ceiling as you enter the town of Obidos. Magnificent site. Pictures below are of inside the town as we walked the wall surrounding the town.
Beach front property in Peniche the peninsula, central portugal. Sunrise, camping out of the van.

oh yeah our mercedes benz van, we are rollin in style baby! We are now on the road in our 9 seater van that we rented for 12 days, took the back seats out andthrew em in the front so we could use this classy vehicle as our hotel too. Beachfront property everywhere we go! This van took us up the whole coast of Portugal and into Spain, then across the entire northern atlantic coast of spain to Mundaka, then up into France to a great little city called Biarritz that we loved. We also went as far north in France to Hossegar to check the surf. Then we darted diagonally back all the way through a snowy Spain, coldest winter in history and snow in Lisbon first time ever. Drove a total of 3930km before we returned the car yesterday in the Algarve, Southern Portugal. Usually sunny but since we are in the coldest weather ever it is bordering on 3 degrees celcius. you never knew a van would be so warm at night. Tomorrow we are looking to head into Morocco!
